Joshua – Status Update

March 31, 2026

Today was the first day for us to see Joshua after his 3rd intubation. He was calm and quiet. The goal for the day was to keep things boring while the doctors clear out his lungs and give his body time to recupperate.

The bronchoscopy went well for Joshua. His lungs were cleaned and he was able to maintain healthy oxygen throughout the day. He did have a bit of a temperature, so in addition to clearing his lungs, the doctor is working on getting Joshua's temperature down

It was nice to spend the evening with him. He couldn't talk, but he could hear and he could respond. Every nod of his head and squeeze of my hand reminded me what we were working towards
