Natalie – Status Update
April 5, 2026
Yesterday was a good day for Natalie. She had her chance to talk wiht us with no mask and the plan was to expand on that today.
Spending time in the hospital on Easter is strange. There is a desire to enjoy worshipping and celebrating the resurrection of Christ with our church family, but that desire clashes with the absolute need to be with our children in the hospital. In the end, we know we can celebrate Christ's resurrection whereever we are and that includes spending time with our children.
The mask came off for an extended period of time. Her voice was a bit rough, but it was there. She even felt comfortable enough to speak with her grandma on the phone.
At the end of her time with the canula they set her up for a 10 minute test with no support. She did well for a moment and then her oxygen dropped. While I hoped she would make it the full 10 minutes, it was good to see her breathing on her own for awhile.
