Joshua – Status Update

Joshua is doing much better today. When we arrived, he had just finished his PT. He was very tired but he was sitting up to give his lungs a chance to heal.

We spoke with Joshua's pulmonologist and they have updated the plan for his respiratory treatment. They will be using a cough assist consistently to clear his lungs. Once the cough assist is done, the same machine will be used in a different mode to do something referred to as 'breath stacking'. The goal of the breath stacking is to expand the lungs.
